2. Contract terms and disclosure obligations

This page contains terms and conditions in full. When you book a car through comenorth.fo, you accept these terms and conditions.

3. Transaction and payment

ComeNorth uses NETS for all financial transactions on comenorth.fo. When you pay for your booking online, you must provide the card number, the card’s expiration date and the card’s security code. Your card data is encrypted.

The amount is reserved on your account according to your agreement with your card issuer.

The amount gets from your card after the cancellation deadline, and the full deposit will be refunded after the rental period, if there are no fees to be subtracted from it.

You can pay with the cards shown below. All payments are in DKK unless otherwise stated.

4. Deposit

In addition to the car rental, insurance, and optional add-on products, a deposit of DKK 2500 will be handled separately at the airport. This deposit allows us to charge for potential additional toll tunnel trips, a car returned without a full tank, parking fines, damages, and similar charges if necessary. The deposit will be promptly refunded upon the completion of the car rental.

5. Insurance

Our CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), which limits own liability (excess) to DKK 9500, is automatically added when you make your reservation (DKK 60 per day). Additional insurance SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver), which reduces the liability to DKK 0, is offered at the airport counter.

5.1 Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is mandatory and automatically included in every rental at a cost of DKK 60 per day. CDW limits the renter’s own liability (excess) for damage to the rental vehicle to DKK 9,500.

CDW does not cover:

Damage or liability towards third parties (other vehicles, property, or persons)
Roadside assistance or towing
Damage to tyres, wheels, or wheel rims
Damage to glass, windscreens, or stone chips
Damage to the vehicle’s interior or accessories

5.2 Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) is an optional additional insurance that can be purchased at the airport counter when collecting the vehicle. The price is DKK 95 per day. When SCDW is purchased, the renter’s liability (excess) is reduced to DKK 0.

SCDW covers all of the following:

Damage to the rental vehicle
Roadside assistance and towing
Damage to tyres, wheels, and wheel rims
Damage to glass, windscreens, and stone chips
Damage to the vehicle’s interior and accessories
Damage or liability towards third parties (other vehicles, property, or persons)

6. Confirmation and Receipt

Reservation is not valid until you have received a confirmation email. The confirmation e-mail is your receipt. All prices are in Danish kroner (DKK) and Faroese sales tax (MVG) is included.

7. Personal information

The information you provide will be stored by Come North for 5 years for accounting purposes whereafter the information will be deleted. The information will not be sold to third parties.

8. Cancellation Policy and Refunds

Cancellations must be done at least 3 days prior to the start of the rental period. Failure to cancel before the deadline will result in a subtraction of the price of three days rental from your payment card. Cancellations made at least 3 days prior to the start of the rental period will be paid back in full.
